The Talasey Group Training Academy has launched as part of its commitment to raising industry standards.
The Talasey Group Training Academy (TTA) began its City & Guilds accredited courses in its Doncaster facilities this summer. The TTA offers a professional learning experience, and provides delegates with accredited training.
Each course is designed by Talasey Group and support a wide range of industry professionals. These include college students and installers to designers and landscape architects. They are also useful to builders merchants looking to develop further skills and industry knowledge.
The courses cover how to install, maintain, and get the most out of a wide range of landscaping products. This includes natural stone, clay, and porcelain paving, plus resin bound aggregate and artificial turf. Basic site setting out and preparation will also be part of the courses.
Each course aims to equip attendees with information to get the most out of landscaping products. They are delivered in a responsive training style in order to suit each participant at any stage in their career.
Ongoing advice and support is on offer to delegates following course completion. There will be the opportunity to become a member of the Talasey Group Landscaping Professionals. This provides access to a range of benefits including; marketing support, and promotional goodies.

“These courses keep landscaping professionals up to date with the latest trends and developments in the industry. Particularly in products and installation ideas. This empowers them to bring their future projects to life with maximum impact.”
The courses are being delivered by a team of industry leading experts with installer backgrounds who also have the added benefit of vast experience teaching industry related courses throughout the UK.

“Our aim is to deliver interactive courses that are both theoretical and practical. These will enable attendees to stay abreast of the latest trends and developments within the sector. They will also bolster their professional development.”
The launch of the TTA is spearheaded by Chris Whitlock, managing director of Talasey Group.
Talasey Group has also announced its role as the official training supplier of the UK’s landscaping team for WorldSkills 2019. The world championship of skills that attracts young professionals from across the world every two years. The UK team is currently under training from the TTA by Simon Abbott, WorldSkills UK training manager for landscape gardening. Abbott will select the final team to compete in Russia in 2019.
As part of the company’s ongoing expansion, dedicated training facilities, classrooms and demonstration areas have been installed at Talasey Group’s headquarters in Sandtoft near Doncaster to provide optimum course delivery. Talasey Group also plans to roll out further training opportunities in the future, at different locations throughout the UK.
