Following the news earlier this year that the organisation of the BALI National Landscape Awards was being brought back ‘in house’ in 2018 after partnering for a number of years with Horticulture Week, BALI has announced the highest number of entries for nine years. This reinforces the BALI Awards’ position as the premier landscape awards in Europe.
BALI members have given the Association’s move to take back full control of the Awards the thumbs up, with record numbers of Registered Contractors and Designers submitting their best design, construction and maintenance schemes, Registered Affiliate (supplier) members entering the BALI Affiliate Exceptional Service Award, and a range of member companies submitting their schemes and their companies for the International and Employer Excellence Awards.
This year’s BALI Awards host has also been announced; popular BBC 1 Breakfast anchor and sports journalist Dan Walker will be entertaining BALI members and industry guests and presenting members with their prestigious awards during the ceremony at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, on Friday 7 December 2018. Tickets are now available and can be booked via the BALI Awards website at baliawards.co.uk. Last year’s sell-out event had a waiting list and tickets for this year’s event are expected to be snapped up quickly.
Judges on the BALI Awards adjudication panel, chaired by Greg Allen, are currently visiting the entries and the list of National Award winners will be announced, following their final deliberations, in early September. The Principal, Special and Grand Awards, selected from amongst the National Award winners, will be announced at the ceremony on 7 December.
