David James set up business Olicana Mosaics four years ago, designing and making pebble mosaics and garden features.

He works with the RHS, garden designers and landscape architects, as well as private clients.

A number of his mosaics form a major part of an award winning public garden in Burley in Wharfedale .

He exhibited for the first time this Spring at the Harrogate Flower Show, winning gold for the display, and had his work at both Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows.

In the summer, Mr James was delighted to be offered the opportunity to create a show garden for the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show.

The theme of his show garden is The Artisan Mosaic Garden.

]Inspired by the colours, arts and crafts of the Mediterranean, it brings together key elements to evoke the essence of this informal, yet classical style within the context of a typical British terraced townhouse.
The centrepiece of the garden is an intricate pebble pavement.

Local businesses Stephen H Smiths Garden and Leisure, in Otley, are providing the plants and York Handmade are providing the brick paving . Leilah Vyner from Dragon Willow is making the willow structures.
