LI College of Fellows election result announced

Adrian Wikeley is the new chair of the Landscape Institute’s College of Fellows.

Taking over from Paj Valley FLI, Adrian assumed the position on 1 September 2018.

Adrian said: “I am delighted with the election as the College of Fellows chair, and privileged to be representing such a distinguished group of LI members.”

About the College of Fellows

Fellowship is the LI’s most senior grade of membership. In 2013, a group of Fellows established the College as a forum to better engage the profession’s leaders in the work of the LI. Their work as innovators and ambassadors is invaluable in helping the LI promote and celebrate the work of its members.

“Fellowship is the LI’s highest grade of membership, and only open to those who have made a major contribution to the profession,” Adrian continued.

However, in my view, the FLI title is not widely understood at present. I believe that we will need to work hard to seek wider recognition for Fellows both within and outside the profession.”

“I look forward to this challenge, and to working with both existing Fellows and those who aspire to membership of the College.”

How to become a Fellow

Any Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute may apply for Fellow membership. This can either be directly in their own right or by nomination. An application needs support from two proposers (at least one of which must be an FLI).

Submitted applications any time for consideration by the Fellowship Board. More information and application forms are available online in the LI members’ area.
