Lady Penelope Gardens joins with St Wilfrid’s Hospice for a landscaping project.
The company is working with the hospice’s team of gardening volunteers on two landscaped gardens at the new hospice in Bosham.
Angela Palmerton, owner and founder of Lady Penelope Gardens, said:
“I have always wanted to do something special for a hospice, following personal experience of the fantastic work they do.
“The chance came when I heard that St Wilfrid’s was building a new hospice – a DREAMBUILDING”.
Angela has donated her time to design the soft landscaping for the new hospice garden. She has also offered to provide support and advice on an ongoing basis.
The Lady Penelope Gardens team will work with volunteer gardeners in the aftercare and establishment of the new scheme.
Diana Duffell, volunteer gardener at the hospice, said:
“The team looks forward to working with Lady Penelope Gardens; creating beautiful outdoor spaces for our patients and their loved ones.”
Lady Penelope Gardens has also been busy fundraising for the hospice. In May, Angela and business development manager Beverly Law completed the Moonlight Walk.
The team has so far raised £900 from their fundraising activities.
Fundraising continues for the St Wilfrid’s Hospice DREAMBUILDING appeal, which still has over £900,000 to raise in three months.
