    Cornish city Truro has won the ‘Champion of Champions’ in the RHS annual Britain in Bloom community gardening competition.   Winning the title for the first time, Truro battled what judges have declared the toughest year on record. Local communities nationwide fighting fiercly to keep blooms alive.   To beat the heat, Truro opted for exotic, drought-tolerant planting. This was including cacti, palms and Mediterranean herbs.
