Hever Castle and Gardens has won a prestigious Gold medal for its gardens.
The South East in Bloom judges described Hever as: “One of the finest gardens in the UK,” and scored it 181 out of 200.
There was praise for the gardens and for the team, especially head gardener Neil Miller:
“An excellent relationship among the team is evident. They agree on seasonal displays, maintenance programmes and passionate work ethic under the leadership of head gardener Neil Miller. Excellent gardens for all the family and enthusiasts to enjoy.”
Gardeners Michael Holah and Reece Johnston attended the awards ceremony at the Amex stadium in Brighton on 14 September.
The South & South East in Bloom is the largest horticultural campaign in the region involving 100’s of communities each year. Communities create lasting improvements to their local area for those that live, work and visit.
