Cobra has announced three new products, which sees the brand branching out into the 24 volt lithium ion market for the first time.
Cobra currently has 40 volt options but the new grass trimmer, hedgetrimmer and blower are its first 24 volt options.
The three handheld models are all powered by one battery which is transferrable across all three products. The battery has both a turbo mode for enhanced power, and also an eco mode to conserve battery life. Eco mode is quieter and powers for a longer period of time, whereas turbo mode is more powerful with stronger, faster output for more optimized performance.
The GT30-24V is a high performance grass trimmer with a 30cm cutting width and, uniquely, a 90 degree tilting head, as well as a telescopic height adjuster. It has a 1.65mm twisted cutting line and can run for up to half an hour.
There is also a 24volt hedgetrimmer in the range. The H50-24V has a 50cm double sided blade, with 15mm tooth spacing that can run for up to 50 minutes.
The third item in the 24 volt range is the BV65-24V blower which features and an extra large nozzle and speeds of 55m/s, and 65m/s in turbo mode, to make cleaning up a breeze!
Peter Chaloner, managing director of Cobra, commented: “We believe these new products to be the perfect entry point option for gardeners looking for cordless powered garden tools. We developed the 24 volt system in response to our market research. People indicated the 18 volt industry standard was adequate, but they would have preferred something more powerful for certain tasks. Our technology brings a third more power to tackle more demanding conditions.”
To continue Cobra’s pledge to offer value without compromising on quality, the grass and hedge trimmers cost £69.99 each, and the blower is £64.99.
