Tamata Trees At Home at Chelsea Flower Show

The Chelsea Flower Show saw a debut at the Show for the Tamata specimen Japanese Maples.  We had the privilege of supplying five large red Acers to the showcase exhibit in the Great Pavilion for Hillier’s Nurseries; an exhibit that deservedly won a Gold medal.

The five trees we supplied to Hillier’s included two Skeeter’s Broom and a Trompenburg; all up to 3.5m, a multi-stemmed Villa Taranto (2.5m) and a feathered Tamukeyama (2.2m).  They all looked stunning surrounded by the rest of the beautiful planting in the Hillier’s exhibit.

The Hillier’s team were particularly impressed with the trees and are looking to use them again at Chelsea next year.  The standout for Hillier’s was the stunning Tamukeyama tree which they prominently placed lining the footpath through the exhibit.

We now look forward to the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park on 23-27 July where our trees will feature in the Show Garden designed by Ian Price.

Tamata has the largest range of mature Japanese Maple specimen trees in the UK.  We are also the grower, so we know our trees and their history.  Following this year’s import, our nursery will boast over forty varieties/forms, the large number of those unique within the UK.

Contact Patrick McDaid (Patrick@tamata.co.uk – 07885 994509) if you would like information on the current availability or to arrange a visit to our nursery. Tamata at Chelsea 3 Tamata at Chelsea Tamata at Chelsea 2
