Stewart Milne Homes appoints new construction director to drive growth in Central Scotland

Stewart Milne Homes has appointed a new construction director for Central Scotland as part of its drive to deliver over 500 new homes in this region year on year.

Bryan Galloway will be responsible for increasing the number of homes being built by the five-star house builder, which currently has over a dozen active outlets and is investing in land for new site in the Central Belt. Over the past 12 months, land with a sales value in excess of £100million, has been acquired in central Scotland.

With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, Mr Galloway, will head up an experienced construction team, bringing a wealth of expertise and knowledge from his previous roles with national house builders, Wimpey Homes, CALA Homes, Miller Homes, and, most recently, Barratt Homes and Avant Homes.

Gerry More, Managing Director for Stewart Milne Homes Central Scotland, said: “We have been increasing the number of active developments in locations with the strongest demand for the high-quality family homes we provide and Central Scotland is key for us in terms of investment. We are seeing a strong sales performance in our well-established homes business in this region and Bryan will play an integral role in delivering our strategy.”

Mr Galloway, who will also join the board of Stewart Milne Homes Central Scotland, added: “I’ve long been an admirer of the team at Stewart Milne Homes and am excited to be representing one of Scotland’s leading privately-owned homebuilders. This is a great opportunity to be part of an experienced management team who have a mandate to grow the business by adding attractive sites in the East of Scotland to its strong West of Scotland strategic land pipeline of developments.”

The Group is continuing to invest in new developments in the region, with plans to purchase land in the next 12 months with a turnover value in excess of £150million.

Stewart Milne Homes operates in Central and North-east Scotland and North-west England with offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Manchester. The award-winning, independent house-builder currently has 30 sites under development across the UK with 12 in Central Scotland.

Stewart Milne Homes is part of Stewart Milne Group, which has a turnover in excess of £200million and currently employs more than 800 people in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Oxford.
