Outdoor Deck Company live on the NBS National BIM library

BIM

The Outdoor Deck Company has announced that it is now live on the NBS National BIM library offering all its decking and contemporary cladding products for free download in a variety of formats including Revit and IFC.

The published objects include Duradeck™, Durapine™, Softline© and Techniclic©.

The Outdoor Deck Company objects provide detailed information about each individual decking and contemporary cladding product and their physical characteristics, enabling integration with the building design model. More than just a 3D version of CAD, BIM contains rich parametric data including not only geometry, but the properties of building components. This information is incredibly useful for specifiers, architects, contractors, consultants and designers.

Mike Wilderink, managing director of The Outdoor Deck Company commented: “The Outdoor Deck Company BIM data has taken many man hours to create, and we are thrilled with the results. Demand from architects and technical specialists is important to us, and we have addressed all requirements from this sector. The Outdoor Deck Company decking and timber systems are renown as the best in the world, and BIM will enhance our reputation further.”

The Outdoor Deck Company is a specialist in the supply and installation of high quality decking and contemporary cladding using premium grade timbers from the USA, Europe and UK. The company has over 20 years’ experience in the decking market both in the UK and abroad and operates a nationwide service.
