Glendale claim six golds at the South East and South West in Bloom awards

  Glendale is celebrating success at the annual South East and South West in Bloom awards, after scooping six gold and two silver medals at the regional finals. Parks and green spaces managed by the national green services company, along with the community groups and committees it is part of, were recognised at regional ceremonies in Brighton and Dartmouth, as part of the national Britain in Bloom competition. Ground Control partners Tesco in community project

  Ground Control’s Maintenance team has been working in partnership with Tesco on a community project to improve the outdoor spaces at Pilgrim’s Hospice in Ashford. As part of improvement works, Ground Control undertook tree work across the site, cutting and reducing shrubs around the perimeter, as well as hedging overgrown bushes around the site entrance. Other works included gutter clearance, varnishing of wheelchair ramps and total refurbishment of balconies, including the cladding and painting to make areas more pleasant to patients and visitors to enjoy. Paxman Landscapes planting for wildlife at University of York
