The Landscape Group wins soft landscaping contract In Shinfield

The Landscape Group (TLG) has been appointed by Hochtief UK Ltd to undertake the soft landscaping works at the newly constructed Shinfield Eastern Relief Road near Reading. The soft landscaping scheme will enhance the existing green areas and help improve bat, reptile and amphibian habitats. Following completion of the works TLG will undertake the maintenance for a period of 5 years to ensure successful establishment of the scheme. Works are due to start in February 2016.

The Landscape Group wins soft landscaping contract with curo at Mulberry Park

The Landscape Group (TLG) has been awarded the soft landscaping works at Mulberry Park in Bath, where 1,300 high quality houses will be built. The site is being developed by Curo, a not-for-profit housing and support organisation. The first phase of the landscaping scheme comprises of native boundary planting including protective fencing and creating habitat areas on the edge of the proposed development. Following completion of the works TLG will undertake the maintenance for a period of 2 years to ensure successful establishment of the scheme. Works are due to commence mid-February 2016.land

The Landscape Group have been awarded the internal and external soft landscaping package for Bournemouth University’s new flagship academic building and focal point Fusion 1; this glass-fronted new centrepiece for the campus will house research and education facilities including seminar rooms and lecture theatres. It is being constructed around a central atrium to provide flexible seminar/lecture rooms that will be open to residents and local businesses. Quadron Services Staff qualify as Green Flag Judges

Thirteen staff from Quadron’s Southwark contract will support Keep Britain Tidy as judges in the 2016/17 Green Flag campaign. Southwark currently boasts 23 Green Flag accredited parks and green spaces, the second highest number held by any English local authority. Quadron Services has supported Southwark Council in increasing its number of Green Flag accredited parks and green spaces each year since 2004 when Quadron was awarded the Integrated Parks and Grounds Management contract. The Landscape Group supports primary school’s gardening club

The Landscape Group (TLG) has been supporting a primary school with a ‘No Paper Day’ by providing gardening sessions and enough winter bedding and bulbs to plant a large trough for each year group. TLG were put in contact with Holy Spirit Primary School after a request was made to Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council to cut back the vegetation overgrowing from Bootle golf course on to the school property. It was also agreed that when TLG visited the site on Friday, 8 January 2016, it would support the school’s gardening club and eco council, which were both in their infancy….

Ground Control supports Cumbrian flood victims

Flood victims in the Lake District have benefitted from an SOS clean-up operation undertaken by Ground Control. Project Manager Andrew Humpage helped out on the ground in Keswick, and much needed supplies including first aid kits, baby food and accessories, toiletries and towels were provided by Ground Control. Throughout the day, Andrew assisted residents and aid workers with everything from general clean-up activities to transportation and logistics to making sure people were safe and had the supplies they needed to carry on living. “It was heart-breaking seeing just how much devastation was caused not only to the houses and properties…
