The Landscape Group wins grounds maintenance contract for Colchester Borough Homes’ grounds

Colchester Borough Council has awarded the new contract for the maintenance of its and Colchester Borough Homes’ grounds. Eight companies took part in the initial tender process, with The Landscape Group (TLG) emerging as the winner; the new contract lasting until October 2023. The existing contract expires at the end of March and, as with other public sector bodies, contracts are regularly reviewed and put up for tender. Quadron Services teams up with South West Trains to support Malden Manor Community Project

South West Trains and green space management company, Quadron Services, have created a new pocket community garden next to Malden Manor Station in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in support of the Malden Manor Community Project. It will be called the Millais Garden, after John Everett Millais, the Pre-Raphaelite artist, who stayed at the nearby Manor House. National green services provider Glendale has promoted David Charnock to head of quality, health and safety, environment (QHSE) and compliance. David, of Southport, joined the company in 2009 as training and development officer and has been responsible for implementing Glendale Liverpool’s apprenticeship schemes, creating bespoke training programmes and managing their delivery. In his new role he’ll oversee the welfare of all Glendale employees, while managing and developing the company’s QHSE systems. Glendale helps clean for the Queen

A team from specialist green service provider Glendale has done its bit to clear up Britain ready for Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday. Kim Iverson, Lenford Mason, Derek Bardon and Anna Schauker from Glendale’s multi-service contract in North Somerset volunteered their time on March 11 to litter pick and clear local sites across the district. Glendale starts grounds maintenance for Newport social housing provider

Glendale has begun a contract to deliver grounds maintenance for social housing provider Newport City Homes in South Wales. The four year partnership will see the green services company carrying out work at homes in the city, including grass and hedge cutting, leaf clearance and removal services, combining two previous contracts to create one efficient and cost effective programme of work. The contract has created employment opportunities for local people, with 18 new staff and two apprentices recruited. The Landscape Group (TLG) supported Clean for The Queen events across Wiltshire, East Hampshire, Elmbridge, Sussex and Mendip. In total more than a million people took part in the national Clean for The Queen tidy up events over the long weekend of 4th, 5th and 6th of March. Wiltshire Over 1,700 bags of rubbish were collected in Wiltshire as part of Clean for The Queen campaign.
