Ground Control scoops Principal award at BALI Awards

The Landscape Group takes part in planting bulbs in Surrey

On Friday 27th November 2015, The Landscape Group (TLG) team worked in association with Hersham in Bloom to help plant some bulbs on a local roundabout. Hersham in Bloom is a community group who focus on various gardening projects within the council ward of Hersham. They regularly maintain several flower pots and beds within the ward as well as regularly supplying a Christmas tree. During this day, three TLG operatives and the residents association, mainly made up of local councillors, planted 500 daffodil bulbs and 2000 crocus bulbs donated by TLG. ISS takeover new Fenland contract

A small fleet of new vehicles clad in Fenland District Council’s distinctive purple are now out and about around the district as the council’s new grounds maintenance contractor sets about looking after all Fenland’s open spaces. ISS Facility Services Landscaping took over the contract from The Landscape Group at the beginning of November. Cllr Peter Murphy, FDC’s cabinet member responsible for the environment, said: “The handover has gone very smoothly. Ground Control completes landscaping at new Alder Hey Children’s Hospital

Ground Control has completed external works at newly opened Alder Hey Children’s Hospital as part of a £237 million rebuild. Ground Control won the contract on behalf of Laing O’Rourke to carry out the entire hard and soft landscaping across the site. Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, known as Alder Hey in the Park, was unveiled last month, welcoming patients and families into brand new surroundings. The hospital includes clinical facilities, an energy centre, atrium, a helipad and a 1,778 space multi-storey car park. There are 148 single rooms for patients, 212 inpatient beds, 13 imaging rooms and 16 operating theatres….
