WorldSkills UK – The Skills Show announced by John Hayes MP

The skills minister announced a UK successor to the WorldSkills London 2011 competition at the House of Commons last night. The new annual showcase, named ‘WorldSkills UK – The Skills Show’, will be held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham from November 15-17, 2012. Wavegarden site ‘would benefit from some landscaping’

A MAJORITY of the proposed site for world’s first surfing lake is mostly “rye grass desert” and would only benefit from landscaping, a leading horticulturalist has said. Sue Minter, president of the Institute of Horticulture, has joined the team behind the proposed £5 million Wavegarden UK development on the Portway near Sea Mills.
