Benno Schmitz wins Richard Diehl Award as part of 2015 Vectorworks Design Scholarship Program

Global design software developer Vectorworks, Inc. continues to invest in the next generation of creative visionaries with its Vectorworks Design Scholarship program. A diverse range of neighbourhood gardens for all ages and community groups has been selected as finalists in the SGD Designing for Community Space Award. The Landscape Institute has today announced the shortlist for our annual awards celebrating landscape architecture.  The Landscape Institute Awards are presented annually to encourage and recognise outstanding examples of work by the landscape profession with previous winners including Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. Ledbury village green improvement scheme recognised in Biffa awards

A village green improvement scheme at Wellington Heath, near Ledbury, has won a national award and extra funding. Community Voluntary Action, Ledbury and District, and the Pool Piece Village Green Working Group are the winners of the “Recreation” category in this year’s Biffa Awards. As winners, the team gets £1500 in prize money, to further develop the community project. The news has been welcomed by Wellington Heath parishoner, Peter Constantine, chairman of the village’s Neighbourhood Plan group.
