Following the release last month of the shortlisted companies for the APL Awards 2016, the APL has announced that its confirmed speaker and co-presenter for the day will be Chris Collins. A new 4 acre community garden for veterans in Wales and a luxury garden on a private estate in Surrey have secured awards from different quarters for Fisher Tomlin & Bowyer this autumn. The ‘Centenary Woodland Garden’ was designed by Blind Veterans UK and opened in June this year at their Llandudno Centre. It has been awarded a Royal Horticultural Society standard of ‘Outstanding’ in the ‘It’s your Neighbourhood’ Wales in Boom competiton. Newly elected Cathy Johnstone has been a trustee for Greenspace Scotland and the Central Scotland Forest Trust as well as serving on the Board for Glasgow and Clyde Valley Green Network Partnership.
