National landscaping award success for Landform Consultants

Surrey based landscaping consultancy, Landform have been awarded a top accolade at the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) Awards 2016, sponsored by Bradstone. The company were awarded for their work on a project for a small family garden in South London. Designed by Robert Myers, with Landform Foreman, Ed Verity overseeing the build, the garden included a seating area with contemporary water feature and a sunken sand pit for the young family to enjoy. The Trentham Estate in Staffordshire has been awarded a Gold accolade by VisitEngland after achieving top marks. The Gold Accolade has been awarded to just 19 attractions including Chester Zoo, HM Tower of London and Blists Hill Victorian Town. It recognises the high standard achieved as part of VisitEngland’s Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme, which involves a scoring system based on an annual unannounced assessment by VisitEngland. Marshalls has once again celebrated the quality and workmanship of its accredited landscape contractors at its prestigious annual award ceremony. The Marshalls Register Awards held at Oulton Hall, Leeds on Friday 4 March, celebrated the best garden and driveway projects which were designed and installed by members of Marshalls’ national Register scheme in 2015. Eighteen-year-old Ross Gallacher, from Pollock in Glasgow, has won the Horticulture and Modern Apprentice of the Year categories at Lantra Scotland’s annual Land-based and Aquaculture Learner of the Year Awards. The Horticulture runner-up was Liam Anderson, aged 20 from Shetland. Nick Wray, curator of the Botanic Garden and a University of Bristol horticulturist, has been awarded the RHS Associate of Honour for his distinguished service to horticulture in the course of his working life. Presented at a ceremony in London’s Lindley Hall on 25 February 2016, the RHS Awards recognise both horticultural excellence and personal endeavour and are regarded internationally as being among the highest accolades in horticulture. Marshalls plc has been awarded Business Superbrand status for 2016, following the latest iteration of the long-running annual survey, which has been identifying the UK’s leading business-to-business brands since 2001. The process was managed by The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA) and questioned 2,500 individual business professionals across the UK, as well as the independent and voluntary Business Superbrands Council. The two audiences judged nearly 1,500 brands, which they assessed on three key criteria: quality, reliability and distinction.
