Innovative new equipment from Sutcliffe Play

Sutcliffe Play

Sutcliffe Play, a British manufacturer of children’s playground equipment, has developed new and innovative new playground equipment for 2018.

Andy Love from Sutcliffe Play says: “We’ve been very busy lately working on the development of the new equipment. We’ve expanded some of our most popular ranges, as well as launching brand new and exciting standalone pieces of playground equipment.”

Minitown, Orchard and Neo have all had new play units added to, plus the company has launched a new multi-user rope swing, Cobra.

The new equipment includes:

  • The Minitown range has been designed specifically for under fives. Each piece of equipment provides an abundance of meaningful, imaginative and physical play features to help children develop vital social and physical skills, particularly centred around playing make believe. The new equipment includes Villa, a two tower multi-play unit and seven standalone units – Sensory Flowers, Mansion, Chalet, Train, three Themed Seesaws and a 4-Way Seesaw which when combined create a truly playful environment for young children.
  • Three new multi-play units have been added to Orchard, the sustainable and environmentally friendly wooden range of playground equipment. Maple, Rowan and Oak complement the existing kit and add even more play value to the range. Orchard combines age appropriate physically challenging activities with a natural appearance which allow it to blend aesthetically into rural play spaces.
  • Neo is designed to stand out from the crowd and the range now has three new multi-play units. Vortex, Nuclues and Vector use a combination of bow shaped activities and suspended rope elements to create challenging and rewarding play opportunities.
  • The new Cobra Swing has been designed for up to six children to swing together. Using a combination of balancing, swinging and rocking, the new swing can help to develop teamwork and balance. Its chunky rope seat also means adults are able to sit with younger children.

Andy continues: “Sutcliffe Play has developed its reputation as a leading designer of children’s play equipment over many years. Over those years we’ve developed an understanding of the needs of both our customers and the children using playgrounds – all of that knowledge and expertise has been used to develop our new equipment.

“Some of the new pieces have already been added to the playground outside of our factory and they have already passed the most important test to quickly become very popular with the local community.”
