Ground Control’s consistent growth included in Inc. 5000 Europe 2018 list

5000

Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 Europe 2018 listing places Ground Control on Europe’s fast track list of companies as remarkable growth continues.

Ground Control, the UK’s fastest growing external maintenance and commercial landscaping company, has achieved a prestigious place on the list of Europe’s fastest growing privately-owned companies. The Essex company’s place on this top 5000 accolade is the latest in a string of achievements this year since the company’s inclusion in the London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Europe report, coming close on the heels of its coveted Queen’s Award eighteen months ago. Inc. 5000 recognises the innovative achievements of European companies in generating sustainable growth and jobs.

Described by Inc. 5000 as a company which is ‘truly powering the European economy’, Ground Control, which operates across 45,000 sites throughout the UK and employs over 3,000 people, has been expanding at an industry record-breaking 20 percent a year, placing the company well ahead of its competition.

CEO Simon Morrish commented: “It is a true honour to be recognised in this way. Across our many sites throughout the UK, our people work incredibly hard to deliver consistent, high-quality services to our customers. It is this commitment to outstanding customer service that has driven our unparalleled customer retention rate and consistently strong growth. A huge thanks goes to the whole team for their amazing hard work and dedication.”

Eric Schurenberg, CEO of Inc. Magazine commented: “For 37 years, Inc. has welcomed the fastest-growing private companies into a very exclusive club. To be sure, considering the millions of private companies operating throughout Europe, being listed on the Inc. 5000 Europe is a significant achievement. The median company on the list increased sales by more than 254 percent since the start of 2013, while the average honouree grew a mind-boggling 473 percent. Those are results most companies could only dream of in the economy of the past three years.

As an Inc. 5000 Europe honouree, Ground Control now shares a pedigree with Intuit, Under Armour, Microsoft, Timberland, Pandora, Patagonia, Oracle, and dozens of other prominent recent U.S. alumni. In addition to Ground Control, the Inc. 5000 Europe list added notable companies such as HelloFresh, Dyson, Moo and Coolblue. Congratulations to the team. You should be proud of all Ground Control has achieved to date. I wish you many more years of success.”
