National green service provider Glendale has won an environmental accolade for its efforts in diverting waste from landfills.
Pioneering environmental waste management company, ACM Environmental PLC, rewards companies with a Greener Path Award in the Zero % to Landfill category, for demonstrating exemplary effort and achievement in minimising waste, boosting recycling and increasing landfill diversion.
The awards were created to celebrate the great work businesses across the UK are doing in reducing the impact they have on the environment, while seeking out innovative and sustainable ways to handle waste streams.
By working in partnership with ACM Environmental, Glendale fully optimised the diversion of waste from landfill in 2017, in relation to grounds maintenance work delivered on behalf of Birmingham City Council.
Andy Jacobs, chief executive of ACM Environmental, said: “We are delighted that Glendale is a recipient of the Zero % to Landfill accolade. We have worked in partnership with them to help implement an environmentally-sound waste management strategy and to see them achieve such impressive landfill diversion results is extremely gratifying.”
Andy Ansell, operations director for the north at Glendale, said: “Protecting the environment is one of the main priorities of the work Glendale does, and effective waste management is a hugely important part of this. We’re thrilled to have been recognised by ACM Environmental as a result of the partnership between the two companies and look forward to continuing the good work.”
