Devon company wins hat-trick at national landscaping awards

Urban Earth

Urban Earth, based in Exmouth, has been awarded with a triple win at the national Bradstone Assured Awards 2018. The company won the overall title of Installer of the Year, in addition to winning the Best Patio Transformation using Traditional Products and the Best Patio Transformation using 2017 Products.

The annual awards, which took place at The Radisson Blu in Manchester on Friday 19 January, acknowledge some of the best garden landscaping the industry has to offer in design expertise and quality craftsmanship. Categories include Best Patio Transformation and Best Driveway Transformation, along with the prestigious Installer of the Year award.

This year’s awards have seen landscapers from across the UK submit some of the highest quality of entry submissions since the awards began in 2014. Winners were chosen by an expert judging panel at Bradstone, including national sales manager, Peter Montgomery, and technical customer services manager – and previous owner of MB Landscaping and Paving – Mark Brown.

Phill Yolland was presented the Installer of the Year award by Simon Marriott, director of Concrete Products, in front of almost 100 attendees at the dazzling awards ceremony.

Phill Yolland of Urban Earth, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised, three times, for the quality of our work and our creative landscapes designs, especially in such a highly competitive category. We look forward to working on further exciting gardening projects which may be winning an award in 2019!”

Andrew Singleton, sales director for Bradstone, comments: “Urban Earth are truly worthy winners of the Bradstone Assured awards. Their ability to provide an outstanding standard of garden landscaping was unrivalled in this category. We at Bradstone are proud to have them as a member of our trusted scheme of installers, and we wish them continued success for the future.”

Urban Earth also won a regional award from Marshalls for Most Creative Use of Marshall’s products. Matt Carroll of Marshalls says: “The award winning project demonstrates Urban Earth’s creative strengths along with excellent eye for detail. The standard of workmanship is a credit to the team and is evident throughout the whole installation.”
