Located close to the iconic Southend on Sea pier, a park known as The Shrubbery has recently undergone a transformation featuring bespoke metal railings and gates manufactured and installed by Alpha Rail.
The Shrubbery is located directly adjacent to the seafront and is a popular attraction due to the quirky miniature model castles that are a feature of the many rockery areas. The park is also close to Southend Pier which extends 1.34 miles into the Thames Estuary and is renowned for being one of the longest pleasure piers in the World.
The project was funded by Southend on Sea Borough Council who provided Alpha Rail with basic concepts to work from. The Alpha Rail team combined their site survey, CAD design and fabricating skills to help turn these drawings into a reality.
Alpha Rail manufactured, supplied and installed bespoke decorative metal railings to the main frontages of the park and internal gardens to provide perimeter protection for the remaining areas of the park. The main feature of the finished project were stunning entrance pillars featuring laser profiled lettering that spell out the name of the park.
Phil Ball, sales director at Alpha Rail said “It was a real team effort and we are extremely proud of the metal railings we have installed on this project. Not only are they a truly bespoke design which have transformed the landscape but they have also added a level of protection to prevent tourists from climbing on the rockery.”
