Alan Titchmarsh turns to Dunster for help with Love Your Garden

A family run garden buildings business in Bedford has featured in a TV show presented by Alan Titchmarsh.

Dunster House, based on Elm Industrial estate, supplied a summerhouse for the ITV garden make-over programme Love Your Garden.

The episode featured Dunster House’s Vantage Summerhouse with black shingles and a cream treatment to enchance the garden of Joan Myers.

Joan, a pioneer of paediatric home care who has also helped needy children in Kenya while also doing community work in her home town of Croydon, has had little time for gardening.

Alan Titchmarsh and his team transformed Joan’s garden into a haven during the show screened on Tuesday, July 29

In her rare spare time, the Love Your Garden team selected a Vantage Summerhouse for the end of the garden, providing her with a place to relax and enjoy spending time with her family and friends.

Alex Murphy, managing director, said: “The use of a Dunster House product for such an inspirational lady, and on such an entertaining and influential television show, is a very proud moment for the company.

“Alan Titchmarsh is a gardening icon so the fact it’s in a programme that he presents speaks for itself.”

Established in 1994, Dunster House now has more than 350 employees across the UK and associated companies in Europe and has become specialists in manufacturing and delivering a wide range of inspirational garden products.
